Christmas Cookie Jars

Welcome Back Gallivanters!

It’s the most wonderful, and most expensive, time of the year!

This year, I am budgeting for some upcoming trips (that I cannot wait to share on the blog with my fellow Gallivanters!)

So this Christmas needed to be more economical, but I still wanted to give my friends and family something special.

So without further ado, if you are still looking for some inspiration for what to give as a gift this christmas, try these Christmas Cookie Jars.

Ingredients:

  • 12, 32 oz wide-mouth mason jars

For each jar:

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

tip* a funnel really helps contain the mess!

  1. First, add 1 cup of packed brown sugar to each jar.
  2. Next, add 2 cups AP flour, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt to layer above brown sugar.
  3. Finally, top with 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
  4. Once sealing the jars, wrap with a festive ribbon.
  5. Enjoy!

Note: Your recepient will need 1 stick of butter, 1 egg and a tsp of vanilla extract.

For a special touch, you can design your own recipe card on canva!

Here is what yours may look like:

Merry Christmas!
